Sasie are excited to announce a forthcoming trip to Germany, aimed at promoting female talent in engineering and science subjects.
We’ve won some funding from Erasmus+ to deliver a 2 week study trip to girls aged over 16 who are considering a career in the renewable energy or engineering industries, or who are just interested in the subject! We’ll be visiting multiple renewable energy sites and staying in Wildpoldsried, Bavaria, which is an ultra sustainable village generating over 500% of its own electricity!
You’ll also gain a qualification- the Level 3 Award in the Rational Use of Renewable Energy. This will give you a thorough understanding of different renewable technologies and energy reduction methods, as well as how to complete energy audits of buildings and evaluate suitable energy saving measures.
It’s not all work though- we’ll intersperse the visits with recreational activities such as a trip to Munich, a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle and plenty of time to enjoy the Bavarian sunshine at the natural swimming pool in Wildpoldsried!
The trip will take place from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 8th November 2015. If you are aged over 16 and are studying at least 2 STEM (that’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects at school, we’d love to hear from you.
